In the least expected place, the heartland of America, women are fighting for their rights to freedom, self-preservation and autonomy of their bodies and their lives. In middle America a revolution has begun.
We’d like to think that human trafficking doesn’t happen here. That it’s a problem for inner cities and third world nations. We would like to believe that none of us could be a victim. That trafficking only happens to “bad girls” or those without the support of strong families. We believe that victims of human trafficking are teenagers, the poor and the uneducated.
